Change of Plans!

October 29, 2010

So instead of WWOOFing at the place that I mentioned before… we actually got a reply back from our first choice, a family with 3 kids (still on Mount Tamborine) that grows avos, tamarillos (tree tomatoes), fruits, and veggies, and owns a contemporary art gallery/bookstore/cafe nearby. They sound like a super cool little family and Drew and I are really pumped to learn from people that are doing something that we would love to do someday. Here’s the website to their gallery : Marks and Gardner Gallery.

Yay! Glad to hear you two are gonna take advantage of WWOOFing! More than anything on my own trip I think i’ve come to appreciate all the possibilities of WWOOFing if you want to travel on the cheap, meet cool people, and learn cool stuff!

P.S. i like the sound of your ambitions. Is it just me or do people down here seem to make ambitions like that look easy?!

    P.P.S Tamarillos are delicious.

Lastly, did you get my e-mail about the WWOOFing canadians i met (yoga, acupuncture, and Lord of the Rings) ??? Nice pictures! Im leaving New Zealand this weekend for the States but I should have totally stayed an extra 2-3 months! Enjoy!

Tamarillos ARE delicious! And yes, we did get your e-mail about the hot canadians… lol. I told Drew to e-mail you back- he’s so bad about that! I guess you’re back in the states now… working again? Really sad we couldn’t make it to NZ in time. The tickets are WAY more expensive that I thought they’d be! Anyways, we are having a great time woofing and are learning a lot about the Aussie way! Hope all is well. 🙂
