Cleland Wildlife Park & The Grand Final

September 27, 2010

Last Friday, Drew, Mark, and I ventured to the Adelaide Hills to visit the Cleland Wildlife Park. It was worlds better than a normal zoo- the animals are in very large enclosures where the visitors can walk around and actually interact with some of the more tame animals. Cleland allows you to buy animal food at the park and feed the kangaroos, wallabies, and emus. It was really cool! I got to pet a koala… that pretty much made my day.

On Saturday Mark threw a big party for the Grand Final. We got to meet all of his friends and watch some footy. The game ended in a tie and apparently there is no overtime given in the Grand Final, so they have to play a whole new game next week! So Mark is having another party next Saturday.

This week Mark goes back to work, so that will give Drew and I the chance to do a little adventuring by ourselves. Mark has an extra car that his Dad just gifted him, so we even have a means of transportation! Drew is getting a lot better at driving the manual.. he’s a brave soul. I don’t think I could learn how to drive stick while also driving on the other side of the road! Wish us luck…. 🙂
